ADB issued a call for proposals for emerging technologies that would help governments provide citizens digital transport information, coordination, and updates for a safe, accessible, and efficient transportation to support COVID-19 recovery. The selected solution, ASafeRide, was a mobile application that used big data, artificial intelligence, and global positioning system to provide real-time recommendations to public transport users to make their commute safer and faster.
